Daphnes has been a favourite among the it-crowd in Stockholm for a long time now, and we totally understand why. This small place located at Artillerigatan 56 is a true blessing for Stockholm foodies. With a French touch and brilliant menu this is a gem that you have to experience.
We booked the brunch for a Saturday at 3.00 pm and the place was already buzzing of activity, just like we like it. Our group started with bloody Mary’s and mimosas, but the Virgin Mary is also incredible. For starters we went all-in and ordered, bacon wrapped dates, pimientos, gruyere croquettes and fried calamares. The snacks are perfect portions and leaving you craving for more.
And more we ordered, for main we had the Bookmaker toast with horseradish, the eggs Benedict, fish and chips and the ever so classic croque monsieur. All dishes was made to perfection, sure true classics, but how often do you actually experience getting them exactly how they should be cooked? Not often is the answer, but at Daphnes they’ve got you covered. Just sit back and dine well.
On the drink side we kind of went all over the place, some stayed with cocktails, others with beer and one went fancy with champagne. No matter your desired poison, the skilled staff at Daphnes will guide you to the waterhole. We ended our fantastic brunch with a round of hot shots and the famous ice cream sundae. Because sometimes all you want is ice cream. Don’t complicate things.
To conclude, Daphnes is a favourite for an intimate dinner in Stockholm, but now also our new go to brunch this spring.
