The Resort Co was launched in 2019 with the focus to craft the perfect flip-flop. Handcrafted in Tuscany with high quality and luxe materials, the sandals redefined what a pair of flip-flops could be. This summer, the brand continues its journey by taking the artisan principles, premium materials and high-quality mindset along to widen the collection with more vacation wardrobe classics.
For 2021 the brand is launching espadrilles, swim shorts, polo shirts and sunglasses. All products are produced in Europe with a focus on sustainability and high quality.
The espadrilles come in two styles – a classic espadrille model and an elevated variant inspired by the Belgian loafer, with elegant leather trims. Both are made with 100 % natural materials with uppers in soft suede and classic jute soles. The Resort Co has added a breathable microfiber insole for ultimate comfort which gives internal cushioning. The espadrilles are hand-stitched outside of San Sebastián in Spain where they have produced this type of shoes for centuries.
The swim shorts are produced in Portugal with Seaqual™ fabrics, created from an upcycled marine litter from the Mediterranean. The shorts have a tailored look with engraved steel side adjusters and work just as well on and off the beach.
The knitted polo shirts are made with Organic Pima cotton for ultimate elegance as well as breathability and a soft feel against the skin. The shirt is seamless, using the rib stop technique at the bottom hem and sleeve cuff, which also gives a sophisticated vacation look.
The sunglasses are handcrafted in the Cadore region in Northern Italy. Some of the finest eyewear in the world has been produced since the opening of the first optical factory there in the late 1800’s. The designs are timeless yet bold and come in three different shapes: the round-shaped Mazzo, the square-shaped Hacienda and the iconic rectangular style Mocambo.
The collection is aiming to be sustainable both in terms of style and quality. Aesthetically, Scandinavia meets the Mediterranean.
