Manér is a Swedish brand that focuses on sustainability and traditional craftsmanship. The background to the idea comes from a conversation between the two friends Ernesto Prosperi and Warsame Jawa. They expressed criticism and concern about today's fashion industry. They felt that the development of the industry had gone too far with 'fast fashion' and 'mass production' and therefore saw an opportunity to contribute their contribution, in the right direction.
With this in mind, they merged their two wise minds who and created their own brand called Manér. They wanted to contribute to change by creating timeless garments, small-scale production, produced in a small environment. The main focus is the sustainability aspect that comes with the craft of traditional tailoring and handpicked fabrics from weavers in Europe with long experience in this type of production process.
The idea was put into practice four years ago when a shop and studio was established in central Malmö, where all sold garments were manufactured internally under the same roof, which it still does. As a natural part of the digital transformation, the physical format of the stores has now become completely digital.
